Healing Seeds was born in Peoa, Utah in the Covid crisis. There was a supply shortage; the herbal medicine and healthy food Dr. Babbie normally prescribes for patients was not available. This shortage became a radical opportunity to realize a dream. Dr. Babbie had always wanted to cultivate consciousness by growing her own organic produce and botanical medicine. So, after 15 years of private practice in Park City, Utah, Dr. Babbie became Farmer Babbie.
Our History
Dr. Babbie had a thriving Naturopathic Medicine practice in Park City at her clinic Mountain Sage Natural Health before having her third child in 2017. After maternity leave, she decided to take a step back from the clinic to raise her son. And, then Covid hit.
The opportunity was ripe to do something different and go after a new dream and vision. So, Babbie and her partner purchased a 38-acre lot in Peoa, moved their family in and hit the ground running creating Healing Seeds Farm.
Babbie had taken a permaculture course with Terra Phoenix Design in August of 2020, and moved forward with a permaculture design for the entire property. In the spring of 2021, they were ready and broke ground. In May of that same year, they installed a Growing Spaces Dome for year-round produce, and in June, built a Hoop House to extend the season in the fall and spring. They cut in their first field of three in 2022, and begun planting medicinals and produce.
In the spring of 2022, the orchard and berries got planted, the bees arrived, and construction of a drying shed for the medicinals was underway.

Join our regenerative farm team at 7,000 feet in the mountains of Peoa, Utah. We’re looking for an experienced produce farmer to help us grow food for our community while supporting our botanical medicine mission.
